"Girls Can't Surf" Film Screening

Girls Can’t Surf” is a 2020 documentary about a group of renegade female surfers in the 80s who challenged the male-dominated professional surfing world for the shared goal of equality and change. 

Grace O’Sullivan is delighted to welcome this film to Waterford for a special screening on Thursday 3rd November at 7:30pm in Garter Lane Arts Centre.  A reception will take place before this screening from 6:30pm. 

The screening will be followed by a short panel discussion facilitated by Dr. Laura Finnegan with former Irish Surf Champion MEP Grace O’Sullivan and Competitive Surfer Grace Doyle.

Tickets are available for the low price of just €7 / €5 Concession. Any profit from this event will be donated to local sports clubs in Waterford. 

Please note this film is certified 15A in Ireland.
